The Township of Wayne hereby authorizes all departments to accept
debit/credit card and/or automated clearing house ("ACH" or eCheck)
payments for municipal fees, effective June 15, 2020.
Effective June 15, 2020, the Township of Wayne shall accept
debit/credit card and ACH payments for municipal fees. The debit/credit
card and ACH payment program shall be implemented and supervised by
the Business Administrator in conjunction with the IT Department.
A.
The convenience fee for debit and/or credit card payments shall equal
a percentage fee on the amount of payment charged as set by a financial
institution chosen by the Township to process said payments. Said
percentage fee shall not exceed in any event 4% of the total amount
of the payment.
B.
The convenience fee for ACH payments shall equal a flat fee as set
by a financial institution chosen by the Township to process said
payments. Said flat fee shall not exceed in any event $1.95 per automated
clearing house payment.
