The creation of a Police Department in and for the Borough of
Houston and the appointment of policemen by the Council, subject to
any applicable laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, is hereby
approved.
The Police Department shall be composed of such officers and
patrolmen as have been or may be appointed by the Council from time
to time, subject to applicable provisions in the laws of the Commonwealth
of Pennsylvania.

All ordinances or parts of ordinances which are inconsistent
herewith are hereby repealed.
This chapter shall become effective at the termination of the
date of service set by Chartiers Township Supervisors on or about
March 15, 1993.
