The Township Council shall meet annually for organization at
2:00 p.m. (or such hour as may be fixed at a previous regular or special
meeting of the Township Council) on the first day of January unless
that day is a Sunday, in which case it shall meet on the next succeeding
day, and regularly thereafter on the second and fourth Tuesday of
each month at 7:00 p.m., unless the time or date is otherwise changed
by resolution adopted at a previous regular or special meeting. When
the time for any regular meeting of the Township Council falls on
a legal holiday or one prescribed by law, such meeting shall be held
at the same hour on the next succeeding day which is not a legal holiday
unless changed as prescribed above.
The order of business, agenda, conduct of meetings, procedure,
decorum and any and all matters pertaining to the functions of the
Council and the carrying out of Township business at regular and special
meetings shall be determined and prescribed by resolution of the Council.
Except as may be provided in the Charter and the Administrative
Code, questions of order, methods of organization and the conduct
of business of the Council shall be governed by the latest revised
edition of Robert's Rules of Order.
The agenda for each meeting shall be prepared by the Clerk in
accordance with regulations adopted by resolution of the Council each
year. Such regulations shall conform to the Open Public Meetings Act
(N.J.S.A. 10:4-6 et seq.).
