A person having custody of a dog or other animal shall not permit said dog or other animal to defecate on any school ground, public street, alley, sidewalk, tree, bank, park or any private property within the Borough other than the property owned by the person having custody of said dog or other animal unless the defecation is removed immediately and properly disposed of. It is also forbidden to deposit a bag containing said defecation on any of the above-referenced property.
It is hereby prohibited for any person or other entity to permit the running at large of any animal within the Borough and for any animal to be running at large within the Borough.
Any animal found to be running at large within the Borough is subject to seizure, detention, and possible destruction by the person or agency appointed as the animal control person or agency for the Borough or by any other Borough official, pursuant to the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
Any person, firm or corporation who shall violate any provision of this article shall, upon conviction thereof, be sentenced to pay a fine of not more than $25 for a first offense, $50 for a second offense, and $600 for any offense thereafter, plus costs, and in default of payment of said fine and costs, to a term of imprisonment not to exceed 30 days. Each day that a violation hereof continues shall constitute a separate offense.
Any ordinance or part thereof in conflict herewith is hereby repealed to the extent of said conflict.
