(a) 
U.S. Highway 77 and 190.
(1) 
Prohibited area.
It shall be unlawful for any person to park or cause to be parked at any time any motor vehicle on the right-of-way of U.S. Highway 77 and 190 in the city between its intersection with 22nd Street and 250 feet south of said intersection on the east side of said highway and 300 feet south of said intersection on the west side of said highway.
(2) 
Penalty.
Any person who shall park or cause to be parked a motor vehicle upon the aforementioned portion of said U.S. Highway 77 and 190 and the right-of-way thereof, at any time, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction therefor by the corporation court shall be assessed a fine of not less than twenty dollars ($20.00).
(b) 
U.S. Highway 77 and State Highway 36.
It shall be unlawful for any person to park or cause to be parked at any time any motor vehicle, trailer or other wheeled vehicle inside the curbed and guttered area or upon the paved portion of East Fourth Street, same being State Highway 36 in the city, between Highway Department Station #467+39 to Station 487+50, said location being further identified as that point where the ATSF Railroad track passes over East Fourth Street, same being State Highway 36, to 1.0 miles southeast of U.S. Highway 77 intersection with State Highway 36.
(c) 
South Nolan Avenue.
(1) 
Prohibited area.
It shall be unlawful for any person to park or cause to be parked at any time any motor vehicle on the west side of South Nolan Avenue between Tyson and Gillis Streets in the city.
(2) 
Penalty.
Any person who shall park or cause to be parked a motor vehicle in violation of subsection (c)(1) hereof, at any time, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereof shall be assessed a fine of not less than fifty dollars ($50.00) or more than five hundred dollars ($500.00).
(3) 
Defense.
It shall be a defense to prosecution of this subsection (c) that “no parking” signs are not posted at the location.

(a) 
Specified areas.
It shall be unlawful for any person to park or cause to be parked for any period of time longer than two (2) hours continuously at the same location any motor vehicle on or in:
(1) 
The south side of West Second Street in the 100 and 200 blocks;
(2) 
The north side of West First Street in the 100 and 200 blocks;
(3) 
The north side of East First Street in the 100 block;
(4) 
The north side of West Main Street in the 100 and 200 blocks;
(5) 
The south side of West Main Street in the 100 and 200 blocks;
(6) 
The south side of East Main Street in the 100 block;
(7) 
The west side of North Houston Avenue in the 100 block and the 100, 200 and 300 blocks of South Houston Avenue;
(8) 
The east side of North Houston Avenue in the 100 block and the east side of South Houston Avenue in the 100 and 200 blocks;
(9) 
The east side of North Central Avenue in the 100 block; and
(10) 
The east and west side of South Central Avenue in the 200 block.
Parking or causing to be parked in such a manner of a motor vehicle is prohibited between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. on all days excepting Sundays and legal holidays.
(b) 
Penalty.
Any person who shall park or cause to be parked a motor vehicle upon the aforementioned streets in the areas above mentioned for a period of time in excess of the limitation noted herein shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction therefor by the municipal court shall be assessed a fine as provided in section 1.01.009.

(a) 
The chief of police and members of the police department, both regular and reserve officers, are empowered to enforce this section.
(b) 
Except as provided in subsection (c), the operator of any motor vehicle or other conveyance shall not stop, stand, park, or leave standing an attended or unattended motor vehicle or momentarily pick up or discharge a passenger on any portion of a street, roadway, or highway described below, provided signs are posted indicating the prohibition:
(1) 
East 12th Street between North Fannin Avenue and North Lee Avenue;
(2) 
North Fannin Avenue between East 21st Street and northwest corner of the Cameron Independent School District property line;
(3) 
East 22nd Street between North Fannin Avenue and East 21st Street;
(4) 
East 21st Street between North Fannin Avenue and North Hoover Avenue;
(5) 
North Washington Avenue between East 18-1/2 Street and East 22nd Street.
(c) 
The restrictions described in subsection (b) above are limited to the following times on days when schools within the Cameron Independent School District are in session and conducting school:
(1) 
7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.; and
(2) 
2:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m.
(d) 
Affirmative defenses.
It shall be an affirmative defense to prosecution for a violation of this section if the motor vehicle is disabled and it is impossible to avoid stopping and temporarily leaving the vehicle.
(e) 
Exception.
The operator of an authorized emergency vehicle (as defined by state law) is exempt from this section when responding to an emergency call, conducting a traffic stop, or otherwise carrying out his or her official duties.
(f) 
Penalty.
Any person convicted of violating any provision of this section shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and shall be subject to a fine in an amount not to exceed $200.00 per offense.
