(a)
The California Residential Code, Title 24, Part 2.5, 2022 Edition
including Chapter 1, Division II and Appendices H, J, Q, X, Y and
Z, which incorporates and amends the International Residential Code,
2021 Edition, published by the International Code Council, with changes,
additions, and deletions set forth in this Chapter, are adopted by
reference as the residential code of the City.
(b)
At least one (1) copy of said residential code has been deposited
in the office of the Building Official and shall at all times be maintained
by the Building Official for use and examination by the public.

The exception to R313.1 shall be amended to read as follows:
EXCEPTION: An automatic residential fire sprinkler system shall
not be required where additions or alterations are made to existing
townhouses that do not have an automatic residential fire sprinkler
system installed except that where over 50% of the roof framing is
removed, in addition to over 50% of the structure walls, the reconstruction
shall be subject to the incorporation of a fire sprinkler system throughout
the entire structure.

The first exception to R313.2 shall be amended to read follows:
EXCEPTION: Where over 50% of the roof framing is removed, in
addition to over 50% of the structure walls, the reconstruction shall
be subject to the incorporation of a fire sprinkler system throughout
