[Adopted 5-17-1974 as Ch. 25, Art. VII, of the 1974 Code]
There is hereby created within the Department of Public Works the position of Maintenance Repairman for the Township of Lacey, County of Ocean and State of New Jersey.
The Maintenance Repairman shall be under the direction of the Chairman of the Department of Public Works of the Township Committee, and in addition to performing all janitorial and custodial services in the Municipal Building, shall be responsible for such routine maintenance and repair tasks as minor masonry, plastering, carpentry, painting, plumbing, sheet metal, electrical glazing and mechanical and other types of maintenance work and such work related or incidental thereto as he may from time to time be directed so to do by the Department of Public Works. His duties shall include all matters incidental to the repair and maintenance and general service and operation of the Municipal Building of the Township of Lacey, including but not limited to concrete and masonry work, plastering and spackling of walls and ceilings, painting, plumbing repairs, replacing of light bulbs, fuses and the like, custodial and janitorial services involved in regular and routine cleaning of the interior of the Municipal Building and maintenance of the grounds and parking areas surrounding the same.
The salary or wages for the position of Maintenance Repairman shall be as determined from time to time by the Township Committee and shall be paid in accordance with the terms and provisions of the Salary Ordinance.[1]
