No person shall engage in the practice of plumbing or
represent that he engages in the practice in plumbing unless said person holds
a valid state master plumbing license, or valid municipal plumbing license,
previously issued by the Board of Health of the Township of Lacey.
All municipal plumbers licenses heretofore issued and
outstanding must be renewed no later than January 31, 1985, to be valid. Any
previously issued municipal license not so renewed by January 31, 1985, shall
be null and void.
Previously issued municipal plumbers' licenses must be
annually renewed within thirty (30) days of such expiration date. Any license
not so renewed, shall be null and void and of no force and effect.
The license of a plumber heretofore issued by the Board
of Health or hereafter renewed may be suspended or revoked by the Board of
Health should the holder of such license be shown to be incompetent as a plumber
or should it be established he engages in fraudulent, unconscionable or deceptive
business practice, or should it be shown that such license was obtained through
fraud or misrepresentation or should the holder of such license who has secured
plumbing permits allow plumbing to be performed by persons other than the
holder of the license or his employees.
Any person or persons, firm or corporation violating
any of the provisions of this chapter or code adopted hereunder shall pay
a penalty of not less than fifty dollars ($50.) nor more than five hundred
dollars ($500.) for each offense.
