There is hereby created the position of Violations Clerk, Typing, for the Municipal Court of the Township of Lacey.
The duties of the Violations Clerk, Typing, are that under direction she has the duty of collecting fees for traffic violations in Municipal Court and performs the clerical work involved in processing Municipal Court summonses, pleas of guilty, payments of fines and costs and traffic violations and such related work as is required by the Municipal Court Administrator.

To be appointed to the position of Violations Clerk, Typing, an individual must meet the following requirements:
A. 
Two years of clerical experience involving the maintenance of accounts.
B. 
Thorough knowledge of modern office methods, practices and equipment and of performing tasks involved in the keeping of financial and/or other records of a mathematical nature.
C. 
Ability to read, write, speak and understand English sufficiently to perform the duties of this position; to organize assigned work and develop effective work methods; to give suitable assignments and instructions to individuals and groups and to supervise the maintenance of suitable records and files, including those of a financial and/or mathematical nature.
D. 
Good health and freedom from disabling physical and mental defects which would impair the proper performance of the required duties or which might endanger the health and safety of oneself or others.
The salary for Violations Clerk, Typing, shall be determined from time to time by the Township Committee and shall be paid in accordance with the provisions of the Salary Ordinance of the Township of Lacey.[1]
