There is hereby created the position of Recreation
Program Coordinator for the Township of Lacey.
Under the supervision of the Director of Recreation,
the duties of the Recreation Program Coordinator shall include, but
not be limited to, leading and coordinating the activities of persons
engaged in the operation of a recreation facility or facilities. The
Recreation Program Coordinator shall also perform such other related
work as required.
To be appointed to the position of Recreation
Program Coordinator, an individual must meet the following requirements:
A.
Possess knowledge of the functions and activities
in a recreation facility.
B.
Possess a driver's license valid in New Jersey only
if the operation of a vehicle, rather than employee mobility, is necessary
to perform the essential duties of the position.
C.
Possess the ability to provide support services in
a recreation facility.
D.
Possess the ability to provide assignments and instructions
to staff and review their work.
E.
Possess the ability to coordinate activities between
units.
F.
Possess the ability to establish and maintain cooperative
relationships with staff and the public.
G.
Possess the ability to prepare reports.
H.
Possess the ability to establish and maintain records
and files.
I.
Possess the ability to learn to utilize various types
of electronic and/or manual recording and information systems used
by the agency, office or related units.
J.
Possess the ability to read, write, speak, understand
or communicate in English sufficiently to perform the duties of this
position. American Sign Language or Braille may also be considered
as acceptable forms of communication.
K.
Persons with mental or physical disabilities are eligible
as long as they can perform the essential functions of the job after
reasonable accommodation is made to their known limitations. If the
accommodation cannot be made because it would cause the employer undue
hardship, such persons may not be eligible.
