In accordance with the provisions of § 217-23, the parking of vehicles is hereby prohibited for a period longer than two consecutive hours between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. at any municipal parking lot other than the parking lots hereby designated, for which all-day parking (other than pursuant to §§ 217-27 through 217-35) shall be permitted:

For purposes of this § 217-52, a vehicle shall be deemed to have been parked at the same parking spot for a period longer than the time allowed unless, within the time period allowed by this section, the vehicle is moved with respect to § 217-52A by more than three car lengths or, with respect to § 217-52B, to a different parking spot within the applicable parking lot. Unless either of the foregoing conditions is satisfied, it shall not be a defense to a claim for a violation of this § 217-52 that the person moved his or her vehicle during the allowable time period.

§ 217-53 Schedule XVIII: Loading Zones and Fire Zones.

§ 217-54 Impoundment of parked, abandoned or unattended vehicles.

When any vehicle is parked or abandoned on any highway within the village during a snowstorm, flood, fire or other public emergency which affects that portion of the public highway upon which such vehicle is parked or abandoned, such vehicle may be removed by the Police Department or by a private towing service designated by the Police Department.

When any vehicle is found unattended on any highway within the village, where such vehicle constitutes an obstruction to traffic, such vehicle may be removed by the Police Department or by a private towing service designated by the Police Department.

After removal of any vehicle as provided in this section, the Police Department may have such vehicle stored in a suitable place at the expense of the owner. Such owner or person in charge of the vehicle may redeem the same upon payment of the amount of all expenses actually and necessarily incurred in effecting such removal and storage. Upon the failure of such owner or person to redeem the vehicle within 15 days after notice to do so, such vehicle shall be disposed of in any manner deemed appropriate by the village. The proceeds from such disposition shall be placed in the general fund of the village.

§ 217-55 Bus stops.

In accordance with the provisions of § 217-26, there will be only bus parking at any bus stop location.

§ 217-56 Handicap parking.

The Village Board shall have the authority to designate parking locations which shall be designated as "handicap parking only." Only vehicles with validly issued handicap licenses may park at any such designated handicap parking areas.
