The Chief Inspector, and each of the duly appointed inspectors, of the
New York Board of Fire Underwriters, or other qualified inspection
agency approved by the village, are hereby authorized and deputized as agents
of the Village of Newark to make inspections and reinspections of all electrical
installations heretofore and hereinafter described and to approve or disapprove
the same. In no event, however, will the cost or expense of such inspections
and reinspections be a charge against the Village of Newark.
The violation of any of the provisions of this chapter shall be punishable
by a maximum fine of $250 or by imprisonment for not more than 15 days, or
by both such fine and imprisonment.
