It shall be unlawful for any firm, corporation, company or person to keep, store, transport or have in his or its possession, in the Incorporated Village of Bellerose, any high or low explosives, fuse or electric blasting caps or any other explosive compound, chemical or otherwise, unless such articles are stored, used or transported in conformity with the regulations of the State of New York and the Bureau of Public Safety of the Nassau County Police Department.
No person, firm or corporation shall keep, store, sell, expose for sale or give away any loaded cartridges, percussion caps, fuse or electric blasting caps, dynamite, firecrackers, torpedoes, rockets or other fireworks of any kind or any other explosive materials of any description without first obtaining a permit from the Board of Trustees.[1]

Editor's Note: By resolution adopted 12-8-1969, the Board of Trustees established a nonreturnable fee of $5 for a permit issued pursuant to this chapter.
No person shall discharge or set off any firearms, rockets, gunpowder, firecrackers or fireworks of any kind, torpedoes, blasting caps, dynamite or other explosives of any description without first obtaining a permit from the Board of Trustees.
Any person violating any provision of this chapter shall be punishable by a fine of not more than $100 for each offense and shall, in addition thereto, be declared to be and be prosecuted as a disorderly person.
