A.
All streets within the Borough of Shrewsbury, with the exception
of those designated below, shall have a speed limit of 25 miles per
hour.
B.
Exceptions.
(1)
Newman Springs Road (Monmouth County Route 520); Shrewsbury Avenue
(Monmouth County Route 13A); and Sycamore Avenue (Monmouth County
Route 13): as established by the County of Monmouth.
(2)
Broad Street (New Jersey State Highway Route 35): as established
by the State of New Jersey.
(3)
School zones, as listed below, during school ingress and egress:
20 miles per hour. [NOTE: School ingress and egress is defined as
"presence of children is clearly visible from the roadway, or while
children are going to or leaving school, during opening or closing
hours." (N.J.S.A. 39:4-98)]

The streets that intersect Route 35 as noted with * above require
approval of the Commissioner of NJDOT prior to enactment of those
portions of the street that lie within 500 feet of the state highway
right-of-way line. The remaining streets and portions of streets may
be enacted upon passage of this section and publication according
to law.

C.
These speed limit reductions are being undertaken as a result of
an engineering study and on the subsequent advice of the Borough Engineer.

Passing of another vehicle shall not be permitted
between the hours specified upon any of the following described streets
or parts of streets:

Regulatory and warning signs shall be erected
and maintained to effect the above-designated speed limits and no
passing streets as authorized by the New Jersey Department of Transportation.
