A. 
No person shall discharge any firearm, gun, pistol, or knocked bow upon or across any state, county, or municipal road or highway, and no person, except the owner or lessee of the property or a person acting as the agent of the owner or lessee, which designation shall be in writing, shall have in his possession a loaded gun, pistol, firearm, or knocked bow while within 450 feet of any school, playground, or occupied building in the Township.

B. 
The discharge of any gun, pistol or firearm or the possession of a loaded gun, pistol or firearm shall be and hereby is prohibited within the following described area of the Township (except upon a licensed patrol, rifle or firearm range and under the supervision of the Police Department and except on property by an owner and resident thereon or a lessee of property who is a resident or member of the immediate family of such owner or lessee residing thereon):

(1) 
Area 1, consisting of the area bounded by the following: Beginning at the intersection of the center line of the Raritan River in the northwesterly direction and the boundary line between the Borough of South Bound Brook and the township; thence
(a) 
Southeasterly along the boundary line between the Borough of South Bound Brook and the township to where it intersects with the center line of the Raritan River; thence
(b) 
Southeasterly for an approximate distance of fifty feet to a point of intersection of the projection of the easterly boundary line of Davidson Avenue and the center line of the Raritan River; thence
(c) 
Southwesterly along the projection of the easterly boundary line and along the easterly boundary line of Davidson Avenue projected to a point of intersection with the southerly boundary line of New Brunswick Road; thence
(d) 
Northwesterly along the southerly boundary line of New Brunswick Road to its intersection with the easterly boundary line of Elizabeth Avenue; thence
(e) 
Southwesterly along the easterly boundary line of Elizabeth Avenue to its intersection with the projection of the westerly boundary line of Schoolhouse Road; thence
(f) 
Northwesterly along the southerly boundary line of Schoolhouse Road to its intersection with the projections of the westerly boundary line of Randolph Road; thence
(g) 
Northwesterly along the westerly boundary line of Randolph Road and its projection to its intersection with the center line of the Raritan River; thence
(h) 
Northeasterly along the center line of the Raritan River to its intersection with the boundary line between the Borough of South Bound Brook and the township, which is the point and place of beginning.
(2) 
Area II, consisting of the area bounded by the following: Beginning at a point of intersection of the projection of the westerly line of Cedar Grove Lane and the center line of the Raritan River; thence
(a) 
Southeasterly along the center line of the Raritan River to the point of intersection of the projection of the easterly boundary line of Demott Lane and center line of the Raritan River; thence
(b) 
Southeasterly along the projection of the easterly boundary line of Demott Lane and along the easterly boundary line of Demott Lane to approximately twenty feet southerly of the southerly boundary line of Fairfield Road; thence
(c) 
Northwesterly along the projection of the westerly boundary line of Lot 57, Block 424; thence
(d) 
Northwesterly to the westerly block boundary line between Blocks 424 and 425; thence
(e) 
Northwesterly along the westerly block boundary line of Blocks 424 and 425 and along its projection to a point on the westerly boundary line of Cedar Grove Lane; thence
(f) 
Northeasterly along westerly boundary line of Cedar Grove Lane and its projection to intersect the center line of the Raritan River at the point and place of beginning.
(3) 
Area III, consisting of the area bounded by the following: Beginning at a point on the easterly boundary line of Elizabeth Avenue, eight hundred fifty feet southerly of the intersection of the southerly boundary line of Weston Road; thence
(a) 
Southwesterly along the easterly boundary line of Elizabeth Avenue to a point four hundred fifty feet northerly from the northerly boundary line of the United New Jersey Railroad and Canal Company boundary line; thence
(b) 
Southeasterly along an imaginary line parallel to and four hundred fifty feet northerly from the northerly boundary line of the United New Jersey Railroad and Canal Company to its intersection with the easterly boundary line of Amwell Road; thence
(c) 
Southwesterly along the easterly boundary line of Amwell Road and westerly along the southerly boundary line of Amwell Road to a point of its intersection with the center line of the Millstone River; thence
(d) 
Northerly along the center line of the Millstone River seven thousand six hundred feet to a point; thence
(e) 
Southeasterly along a straight line intersecting the westerly boundary line of Mettlers Road at a distance of one thousand eight hundred forty feet from the southerly boundary line of Weston Road and projected further to intersect the easterly boundary line of Elizabeth Avenue at a point which is the point and place of beginning.

Area IV, consisting of the area bounded by the following: Beginning at the point of intersection of the projection of the northerly boundary line of Amwell Road and the westerly boundary line of Cedar Grove Lane; thence

Southeasterly along the northerly boundary line of Amwell Road to its intersection with the westerly boundary line of Wilson Road; thence
(b) 
Northeasterly along the westerly boundary line of Wilson Road to the projection of the northerly boundary line of Lynch Street; thence
(c) 
Southeasterly along the northerly boundary line of Lynch Street and projected to a point on the westerly boundary line of Demott Lane, said point being northerly two thousand one hundred thirty feet from the intersection of the northerly boundary line of Amwell Road and westerly boundary line of Demott Lane; thence
(d) 
Southwesterly along the westerly boundary line of Demott Lane projected to a point of intersection on the southerly boundary line of Amwell Road; thence
(e) 
Southeasterly along the southerly boundary line of Amwell Road to its intersection with the westerly boundary line of Dahmer Road; thence
(f) 
Southwesterly along the westerly boundary line of Dahmer Road projected to its intersection with the southerly boundary line of Bennetts Lane; thence
(g) 
Northwesterly along the southerly boundary line of Bennetts Lane projected to a point on the westerly boundary line of South Middlebush Road; thence
(h) 
Northeasterly along the westerly boundary line of South Middlebush Road to its intersection with the southerly boundary line of the United New Jersey Railroad and Canal Company; thence
(i) 
Northwesterly along the southerly boundary line of the United New Jersey Railroad and Canal Company to its intersection with the easterly boundary line of Amwell Road; thence
(j) 
Northeasterly along the easterly boundary line of Amwell Road to a point four hundred fifty feet northerly from the northerly boundary line of the United New Jersey Railroad and Canal Company, projected at right angles to intersect the westerly boundary line of Amwell Road; thence

Easterly along the center line of the Raritan River to the center line of the Mile Run Brook; thence

Southerly along the center line of the Mile Run Brook, boundary line of the city of New Brunswick, to the center line of Somerset Street; thence
(c) 
Westerly along the center line of Somerset Street, boundary line of the City of New Brunswick, to the projection of the southerly boundary line of the United New Jersey Railroad and Canal Company; thence
(d) 
Westerly along the southerly boundary line of the United New Jersey Railroad and Canal Company projected to the westerly boundary line of Dahmer Road; thence
(e) 
Northerly along the westerly boundary line of Dahmer Road to the southerly boundary line of Amwell Road; thence
(f) 
Westerly along the southerly boundary line of Amwell Road to the projection of the westerly boundary line of Demott Lane; thence
(g) 
Northerly along the westerly boundary line of Demott Lane to the southerly boundary line of Lot 57 Block 424; thence
(h) 
Easterly along the projection of the southerly boundary line of Lot 57, Block 424 to the easterly boundary line of Demott Lane point being approximately twenty feet southerly of the southerly line of Fairfield Road; thence

The provisions of this chapter shall not apply to the members of the Township Police Department nor to any other duly appointed governmental law enforcing officers while acting in the line of duty.
Any person, firm or corporation violating any of the provisions of this chapter shall, upon conviction, be punished as provided in Chapter 1, Article II, General Penalty, in the discretion of the Municipal Court Judge.
