The Town Law provides that the enactment of a Zoning Law and every amendment
thereto shall be published once in the official newspaper of the Town. In
order to best serve the interests of the citizens of the Town of Newstead,
the Town Board has determined that an alternative method of publication shall
be adopted.
As an alternative to publication of the full text of every Zoning Law
and every amendment thereto as provided by Town Law, a notice of adoption
shall be published with respect to any such Zoning Law or amendment
adopted in accordance with the provisions of the Municipal Home Rule Law.
Such notice of adoption shall include a brief summary of the contents of local
law, together with a statement of the effect that the full text of said law
is available for copying and inspection at the office of the Town Clerk.
