Abandoned vehicles — See Ch. 544.
No discarded, abandoned or not-in-use icebox, refrigerator, deep freezer or other similar container shall be left, kept or deposited within any abandoned house, barn, garage, shed or other building, nor shall any such article be left out in the open, in any junkyard or be deposited in any dump, street or highway or in any yard, field or open premises, unless the doors and/or tops used for entry into said iceboxes, refrigerators, deep freezers or similar containers have been removed.
No icebox, refrigerator, deep freezer or other similar container shall be left, kept or deposited within any vacant house, apartment, barn, garage, shed or other building unless such house, apartment, barn, garage, shed or other building shall be made safe from entry by reason of substantial locks on all doors and windows therein and the closing of any other apertures which might be used as means of entry.
The provisions of this chapter shall apply to all persons, firms, corporations and premises within the corporate limits of the City of Peekskill.
Any person, firm or corporation violating any of the provisions of this chapter shall, upon conviction, be punished for the first offense by a fine not exceeding $50 and for the second offense by a fine of not more than $250 or by imprisonment for not more than 15 days, or both.
