A.
The owners of lots in approved subdivisions on which
no structures have been erected are required to cut, trim or mow vegetation
thereon at least once a month in June, July, August and September of each
year.
B.
"Approved subdivisions" are those subdivisions or portions
thereof which have received final approval from the Town Planning Board.
The Building Inspector of the Town of Pittsford is charged with the
responsibility and duty to enforce this article.
In the event that said Building Inspector shall determine that this
article has been violated by the failure to cut, trim or mow weeds, grass,
shrubs or other similar growth as herein provided, he shall forthwith, by
written notice, to the record owner of said lot or lots, notify the owner
or owners of said lot or lots that in the event that the cutting, trimming
or mowing is not done in 10 days from the date of said notice, that the Town
of Pittsford will cut, trim or mow said weeds, grass or shrubs on said lot
or lots, and that the total cost of cutting, trimming or mowing may be assessed
by the Town of Pittsford to the record title owner or owners of said lot or
lots and the expense so assessed shall constitute a lien or charge on the
lot or lots on which it is levied until paid or otherwise discharged and shall
be collected in the same manner and at the same time as other town charges.
The provisions of this article shall not apply when the property rights
of any lands or easements are owned by another municipality or political subdivision
of the State of New York.
