It is the purpose of this article to provide a method for designating the location of benches in the Downtown District of the Village in order to promote order and for the rest of pedestrians.
The location of benches shall be shown on a drawing titled "Streetscape Design - Village of Skaneateles."[1]

A. 
Any property owner of lessee of property located within the Downtown District shall have the right to apply to the Board of Trustees for permission to place a bench on its property.
B. 
The Board of Trustees shall consider the application and decide whether or not to grant it.
C. 
Each decision shall be final and by resolution of a majority of the Board of Trustees.
D. 
Each bench shall be permanently affixed to the sidewalk and comply with the standard adopted by the Board of Trustees.
