Whenever used in these rules and regulations,
the following terms shall have the meanings respectively hereinafter
indicated:
Landing area, ramp and apron areas, aircraft parking and
storage areas, hangars and terminal buildings and such other areas
as may be designated by the Airport Director.
Any and all contrivances now or hereafter used for the navigation
of or flight in air or space, including but not limited to airplanes,
airships, dirigibles, hot air or gas balloons, helicopters and gliders.

Those portions of the airport designated and made available
temporarily or permanently by the Airport Director to the public for
the parking or storage of aircraft.
The Bangor International Airport, specifically the lands
and developments owned, controlled, operated and maintained by the
City of Bangor, consisting of runways, taxiways, hangars, control
towers, ramps, aprons, buildings, structures, roads, streets, parking
and storage areas, improvements, utilities, facilities or other real
property necessary or convenient or desirable for the landing, takeoff,
accommodation and servicing of aircraft of all types and for any commercial,
individual or other activity transpiring within the perimeter of the
airport.
The committee of the Bangor City Council designated by ordinance
to review, comment upon or approve actions related to Bangor International
Airport.

The Airport Director appointed by the City Manager of Bangor and charged with the duty to supervise the entire operation of the Airport Department and to perform such other duties as may be prescribed by the City Manager or any applicable federal, state or local laws or ordinances. (See Chapter 28, Departments, Article II, Airport Department, of this Code.)

Those vehicular ways on the airport designated and made available
temporarily or permanently by the City of Bangor as ways to which
the public has the right of access, within the meaning of the laws
of the State of Maine applicable to regulations of motor vehicles.

Persons under the age of 18.
The facility or facilities which house firefighting and rescue
organizations maintained at Bangor International Airport, also referred
to as the "Crash, Fire and Rescue Station (CFR)."[2]

Any vehicle designated and operated for the purpose of fuel
transfer handling in connection with the fueling or defueling of aircraft.
The process of transferring petroleum fuels on the airport
between a bulk storage facility and fuel servicing vehicle or between
a fuel servicing vehicle and an aircraft.
Any aircraft using the airport, the operator of which has
not entered into a lease agreement with the City of Bangor.
Any and all aircraft which are not propeller driven and which
accomplish motion entirely by a direct reaction of the thrust of any
engine, including but not limited to engines which operate on turbine,
ram, rocket or nuclear principles.
Any locality, either of land or water, including airports
and intermediate fields, which is used or intended to be used for
the landing and takeoff of aircraft, whether or not facilities are
provided for the shelter, servicing or repair of aircraft or for receiving
or discharging passengers or cargo. (See 6 M.R.S.A. § 3.)
Any self-propelled vehicle not operated exclusively on tracks,
including motorcycles and snowmobiles.
Any airline without a written agreement with the City of
Bangor governing its operations at Bangor International Airport.
That area of the roof or other part of any building designated
by the Airport Director for the use of the public for observation.
The owner or other person, firm or corporation controlling
the operations of one or more aircraft or one or more vehicles or
any person who has rented such aircraft or vehicle for the purpose
of operation by their own agents.
Permission granted by the Airport Director or their authorized
representative.
Any individual, firm, copartnership, corporation, association
or company (including any assignee, receiver, trustee or similar representative
thereof) of the United States of America or any foreign government
or any state, political division thereof or the United Nations, and
shall further include aircraft operators, crew members, passengers,
spectators, sightseers, pleasure and commercial vehicles, officers
and employees of airlines, lessees and other persons occupying space
at the airport, persons doing business with the City of Bangor or
the Airport Director, its lessees, sublessees and permittees and all
other persons whatsoever.
The members of the Bangor Police Department assigned to duty
at Bangor International Airport or other such members of the Bangor
Police Department or other law enforcement agencies authorized by
the Police Chief as may be assigned temporarily to duty at Bangor
International Airport.
Those portions of the airport designated and made available
temporarily or permanently by the City of Bangor for loading or unloading
of both passengers and cargo to or from aircraft.

Any and all aircraft which accomplish motion by means of
a jet engine having a turbine-driven propeller whose thrust may or
may not be supplemented by that of hot exhaust gases issuing in a
jet from the engine itself.
All kinds of conveyances or ways for persons and for property,
including motor vehicles and those propelled or drawn by human power,
such as bicycles, except those used exclusively on tracks.
Those portions of the airport designated and made available
temporarily or permanently by the City of Bangor as vehicular parking
and storage areas to which the public has the right of access within
the meaning of the laws of the State of Maine applicable to regulations
of motor vehicles.
