The taxicab owners licensed under this chapter
shall be required to set up and operate a plan satisfactory to the
governing body whereby twenty-four-hour service each day shall be
available to the public.
No person holding a license under this chapter
shall, at any one time, hire out by the hour or by the day more than
50% of said licensee's taxicabs licensed under this chapter.
No person shall solicit business or fares in
a noisy or offensive manner.
No person holding a license under this chapter
shall refuse to carry an orderly fare.
As all licenses issued under this chapter are
held by the licensee as a privilege rather than as a matter of right,
the holders of such licenses shall at all times:
A. Extend the courtesy of the road to all members of
the public.
B. Extend the right-of-way to all pedestrians and other
motor vehicle operators.
C. Be courteous at all times in dealing with the public.
All persons holding a license under this chapter
shall at all times comply with all laws of the State of New Jersey
governing the use or operation of motor vehicles or taxicabs.
