A. 
As used in this article, the following terms shall have the meanings indicated, unless a different meaning clearly appears from the context:
PERSON
Any person, firm, partnership, association or corporation.
PUBLIC LINES-OF-SIGHT
Any line-of-sight which is necessary for a pedestrian, motorist or bicyclist to safely and reasonably see from a clear distance another oncoming or crossing pedestrian, motorist or bicyclist, while such pedestrian, motorist or bicycle is stopped or yielding at a crosswalk or intersection in the Borough of Dravosburg which is controlled by a traffic control signal or clearly marked crosswalk.
PUBLIC WAYS
Any public highways, roadways, streets, alleys, sidewalks, bicycle trails, public easements, and public rights-of-way.
B. 
In this article, the singular shall include the plural, the plural shall include the singular, and the masculine shall include the feminine.
It shall be unlawful for any person to plant, maintain or allow to grow any trees, hedges and shrubbery within the lines of any public ways and public lines-of-sight in the Borough of Dravosburg.
Every owner of property in the Borough of Dravosburg shall be required to keep limbs and branches of all trees, hedges and shrubbery growing upon such property, or along the public ways and public lines-of-sight, trimmed so that no part of such limbs or branches, or of the foliage growing thereupon, shall have a clearance of less than 14 feet above the public ways and public lines-of-sight.
It shall be the responsibility of property owners in the Borough of Dravosburg to conform to the requirements of this article as to trees, hedges and shrubbery upon property owned by them, or along public ways and public lines-of-sight, and, upon notice from the Borough of Dravosburg, to remove any trees, hedges or shrubbery growing in violation of § 261-2 of this article, and to trim or cut the branches or limbs of trees, hedges and shrubbery, or the foliage growing thereupon, required by § 261-3 hereof. Any person failing to comply with any such notice, within the time limit stated therein, shall be guilty of a violation of this article and, following the expiration of such time limit, the Borough of Dravosburg shall have the authority to cause the work required by such notice to be done by the Borough of Dravosburg or under contract therewith, and to collect the cost of such work, with an additional amount of 10%, from such property owner in default.
Any person who shall violate any provision of this article shall, upon conviction thereof, be sentenced to pay a fine of not more than $600, plus costs of prosecution, and, in default of payment of such fine and costs, to imprisonment for a term not to exceed 30 days. Each day that a violation of this article continues shall constitute a separate offense.
