Pursuant to Section 28 of the Charter of the Town of Dagsboro, Chapter
138, Volume 68, Laws of Delaware, as amended, the Council has authority to
enact ordinances as it shall deem necessary and beneficial for the order,
protection and good government of the Town.
The Council finds that the adoption of the enhanced 911 system for providing
emergency services to the residents of the Town requires the numbering of
all houses within the Town limits.
The Council received and accepted the report of the House-Numbering
Committee appointed by the Mayor. The members of the Committee were: Lynly
Hudson and Donald Parsons of the Dagsboro Volunteer Fire Department; Jerome
Rust of the United States Post Office; Evelyn Simpson, Council member; Judy
Baker, Dunreath Jefferson and Mary Ann Cordrey, residents.

Editor's Note: Former § 79-4, House numbers established,
which listed the house numbers for the Town, was repealed 12-19-2005. The
numbering system established by Sussex County 12-14-2004 shall be in effect
in the Town.
Numbers not used shall be reserved for future use.
This ordinance shall become effective on July 1, 1989.
