The Town of Cato hereby sets the fee at $10
for the certificate of marriage when it is requested at the time application
is made for a marriage license and when a request is made for a certificate
in connection with marriages heretofore indexed and recorded.
The entire fee charged belongs to the town.
No fee is to be charged for any certificate
when required by the Veterans Administration or by the Division of
Veterans' Affairs of the State of New York to be used in determining
the eligibility of any person to participate in the benefits made
available by the Veterans Administration or by the State of New York.

The Town Clerk is hereby designated records
access officer.
Records shall be available for public inspection
and copying at the office of the Town of Cato, 13142 Short Cut Road,
Cato, New York 13033.
Requests for public access to records shall
be accepted and records shall be produced during regular town office
hours.
Except when a different fee is otherwise prescribed
by statute, the fee for photocopies not exceeding nine inches by 14
inches is $0.25 per page; and for photocopies of records exceeding
nine inches by 14 inches, the fee shall be the actual cost of reproducing
any other record, excluding fixed costs of the agency such as operator
salaries.
