Within 90 days following the date of adoption
of this article, all water meters located outside the building to
which water is being supplied by the Town of Millsboro shall be equipped
with a device approved by the Chairman of the Water and Sewer Committee
of the Town of Millsboro, designed in such a manner as to protect
the water meter from damage because of exposure to the elements, dirt
and debris.
Any building for which a building permit is
granted by the Town of Millsboro and to which water is to be supplied
by the Town of Millsboro following the adoption of this article and
prior to any occupancy by the owner thereof shall be equipped with
a water meter equipped with a device which allows it to be read by
the agents, servants or employees of the Town of Millsboro without
entry into the building, or, if such water meter is located outside
the building, the water meter shall be equipped with a device approved
by the Chairman of the Water and Sewer Committee of the Town of Millsboro
designed in such a manner as to protect the water meter from damage
because of exposure to the elements, dirt and debris.
