Pursuant to the authority granted by Municipal Home Rule Law § 10, Subdivision 1(ii), and the New York State Constitution, provision is hereby made, in lieu of any other residency requirement imposed by law, that the Village Clerk, Village Treasurer, Village Clerk-Treasurer, Village Attorney, Village Building Superintendent, Village Superintendent of Public Works, or any other appointed officer of the Village may reside within the County of Nassau, in which the Village of Westbury is wholly situated, or in an adjoining or adjacent county.
