No licensee shall install or cause to be installed
or alter electrical wiring for light, heat or power in or on properties
in the Village of Westbury until an application for inspection has
been filed with the New York Board of Fire Underwriters or other inspection
agency as approved by the Examining Board of Electricians.
No licensee shall directly or indirectly allow
his license to be used in connection with work not actually done by
him or under his supervision as a master or employing electrician.

In case a license or certificate of competency
is lost or destroyed, a copy of such lost document marked "duplicate"
may be issued upon the filing of an acceptable affidavit attesting
to the fact that the said document was either lost or destroyed and
upon payment of a fee in an amount as set forth from time to time
by resolution of the Board of Trustees.
This chapter shall not be construed to relieve
from or lessen the responsibility of any person owning, operating,
controlling or installing any electrical wiring, devices, appliances
or equipment for loss of life or damage to person or property caused
by any defect therein, nor shall the Village of Westbury be deemed
to have assumed any such liability by reason of any license issued
pursuant to this chapter.
