The Department of Public Safety, in addition
to the office of the Director, shall consist of the following subordinate
functional areas and shall conduct all of the appropriate areas of
responsibility associated therewith:
A. Office of Fire, which shall be the Bureau of Fire.
B. Office of Police, which shall be the Bureau of Police.
The office of the Director of the Department
of Public Safety or its subordinate functional areas shall, in addition
to all other appropriate areas of responsibility, interact, where
applicable, with the various authorities, boards and commissions of
the City appropriate to the Department of Public Safety.

The subordinate functional areas formerly conducted
by the Department of Housing and Neighborhood Development shall hereafter
be conducted by the Department of Community Planning and Economic
Development.
