Provisions, Art. I)]
No person or persons shall fire or discharge
any revolver, pistol, firearms or guns, air gun or slingshot or other
device or article upon any public property or private property not
his own which might injure persons or property within the said Borough
of Glassboro. This provision shall not apply to hunters of wild game
properly licensed by the State of New Jersey, nor to the law enforcement
officials of the Borough of Glassboro during the proper execution
of their duties. No person properly licensed to hunt wild game shall
discharge any firearm across or upon any state, county or municipal
road or highway, and no person except the owner or lessee of the property
shall, for the purpose of hunting, taking or killing any bird or animal,
discharge a firearm within 300 feet of any occupied dwelling in this
state.
No person shall have in his possession, store
or keep any combustible fireworks of any kind, dynamite, nitroglycerin,
giant powder or other explosives within the Borough limits.
No person, firm or corporation shall sell or
store gunpowder, gun shells or cartridges without having first obtained
a permit from the Chief of the Fire Department, who shall inspect
the place where same is to be kept.

Any person violating any of the provisions of
this chapter shall be subject to a penalty of not more than $2,000,
imprisonment for not more than 90 days or a period of community service
for not more than 90 days, or any combination thereof, in the discretion
of the Municipal Court.
