As used in this chapter, the following terms shall have the meanings indicated:
LAUNDROMAT
An establishment or place to which the public is invited wherein exists machines to be used by the public for the washing and/or drying of clothes.
No person, firm or corporation shall maintain or permit to be maintained any laundromat unless an attendant is present at all times during the operation of the washing and/or drying machines.

Any person, firm or corporation violating this chapter or any provision hereof shall, upon conviction, be punished by fine of not more than $2,000, or imprisonment in the county jail for not more than 90 days, or a period of community service for not more than 90 days, or any combination thereof.
