Recreational bathing in the Borough of Glassboro shall be governed by the most recently adopted New Jersey State Sanitary Code.
No person shall locate and construct, alter or operate a swimming pool or spa within the Borough of Glassboro until permits therefor have been issued by the Secretary of the Board of Health.
The following fees are hereby established:
A. 
A permit to locate and construct a swimming pool or spa, which shall include one plan review, shall be $100.[1]

Editor's Note: Former Subsection B, regarding permit fees to alter a swimming pool or spa, and Subsection C, regarding issuance or renewal of permits to operate a swimming pool or spa, which immediately followed this subsection, were repealed at time of adoption of Code (see Ch. 1, General Provisions, Art. I).
Permits for the operation of a swimming pool or spa shall expire annually on April 30 of each year, and applications for renewal thereof shall be submitted, together with the required fee prior to that time. Any application received after May 15 of the year shall be subject to a late fee of $25.
A. 
Permits required by this article or code may be denied, suspended or revoked by the Glassboro Board of Health for failure to comply with any of the provisions of this article or the State Sanitary Code.
B. 
The Glassboro Board of Health shall afford the person or persons whose permit to locate and construct, alter or operate a pool or spa has been denied, suspended or revoked an opportunity to be heard in public hearing, as long as the hearing is requested of the Board, in writing, within 30 days of the denial, suspension or revocation.

Each violation of Chapter IX of the New Jersey State Sanitary Code or any of the provisions of this article shall constitute a separate offense, and each violation shall be punishable by a penalty of not less than $50 nor more than $1,000. Each day of violation shall constitute a separate offense or violation.
