No combustible material of any kind shall be set on fire or burned upon any street, highway or public place within the unincorporated area of the Town of Ossining.
No combustible material of any kind shall be burned upon or set on fire upon any lot within the limits of the unincorporated area of the Town of Ossining, except when done so wholly within a fireproof container, nor shall any household foodwaste be burned within any exterior container, fireproof or otherwise.
Cooking fires may be used in suitable fireplaces, barbecue pits, grills, stoves and burners upon private lots and in the areas provided therefor in the parks of the Town of Ossining.[1]

Upon receipt of a written permit from the Police Department of the Town of Ossining, controlled fires for the disposal of waste materials may be set upon private or public lands within the unincorporated area of the Town of Ossining subject to such conditions as may be imposed by the Police Department upon such permit and as otherwise controlled by law.
Any person found guilty of violating this chapter shall be guilty of a violation punishable by a fine not to exceed $250 or imprisonment for not more than 15 days, or both.
