All persons using the Pleasantville Recreation Center shall
be required to possess and present a valid Pleasantville Recreation
identification card.
A.Â
Pleasantville Recreation Center membership shall be established for
persons 18 years of age and older. The fee for membership is $50 per
year for Pleasantville residents. Nonresident membership fee is $75.
Membership shall include a Pleasantville Recreation Center identification
card, usage of the weight room, boxing facility and the gym upon availability.
Replacement card fee $10 each time a card is replaced.
B.Â
Pleasantville Recreation Center identification card information shall
be updated on a calendar-year basis.
A.Â
Any official organized league which is not sponsored by the City
of Pleasantville and wishes to utilize the main gymnasium in the Recreation
Center shall pay a daily fee of $500. This fee entitles the members
of the league to utilize the main gymnasium and locker facilities
for a period of up to three hours. In the event that the league extends
utilization of the gymnasium beyond three hours, an additional fee
of $100 for each additional hour, or portion thereof, shall be paid.
A security deposit of 50% is required upon application.
B.Â
All time reserved for such leagues shall be paid in advance and shall
be reserved for a minimum of six weeks. The Superintendent of Recreation
may accept reservations for periods of time greater than six weeks
in his or her discretion.
A.Â
A fee of $50 is hereby established for the rental of meeting rooms
up to three hours for nonprofit 501(c)3 organizations, proof of status
required. A fee of $75 for non-nonprofit(s) is hereby established.
B.Â
A fee of $250 is hereby established for the rental of the multipurpose
(west wing) room, up to five hours. Fifty percent of the room amount
is due upon application, full amount due two weeks prior to the event.
In addition to the rental fee, a service fee will be paid in an amount
of $250. Upon vacation of the room, all or part of the service fee
may be refunded depending upon the condition and cleanliness of the
room, which decision shall be in the discretion of the Superintendent
of Recreation.
C.Â
A fee of $400 for residents (proof of residency required) is hereby
established for the use of the main gymnasium. Nonresidents $500.
One hundred dollars each hour beyond five hours. Usage includes tables
and chairs. Hours of usage subject to availability Saturdays and Sundays
only between the hours of 12:00 p.m. through 9:00 p.m. Alcohol, smoking,
vaping on the premises is absolutely prohibited.
The rental of the main gymnasium, meeting rooms or multipurpose
room is conditional upon the execution of a rental agreement between
the City and the applicant utilizing the facilities in a form and
containing such provisions as are acceptable to the City. Cancellations
made less than two weeks before the event shall be subject to a cancellation
fee of 10% of the room rate, to be taken from the 50% deposit.
Fees for child participation in the Pleasantville Recreation
Center Summer Camp Program:
A fee of $25 per month is established for aerobics classes.
A person wishing to take a single aerobics class shall pay a fee of
$5.
In addition to the annual Pleasantville Recreation Center membership
fee, all persons who participate in and train in boxing programs shall
pay an additional fee. The additional boxing fee shall be $50 for
Pleasantville residents who are amateur boxers, $75 for nonresident
amateur boxers, $200 for Pleasantville resident professional boxers
and $250 for nonresident professional boxers. Fees will be paid annually,
in advance, on a calendar-year basis.

Any activity considered as a special event in a City park, playground
or field will require a special event permit through the Recreation
Center at an administrative application fee of $75 for residents and
$150 fee for nonresidents. There will be a $100 fee per hour for any
activities over four hours. The applicant must obtain general liability
insurance in the amount of $1,000,000.
