As allowed and established under the provisions of C.G.S. § 22-333,
as amended, the Town of Old Saybrook hereby establishes the following fees
and charges regarding the capturing and impoundment of any dog within its
jurisdiction:
A. A redemption fee in the amount of $15.
B. A fee representing the full cost of detention and care
of such impounded dog.

C. Any cost of publication, incurred with respect to any
impounded dog as required under the provisions of C.G.S. § 22-332,
as amended.
As used in this article, the following terms shall have the meanings
indicated:
KEEPER
Any person, other than the owner, harboring or having in his possession
any dog within the meaning of Connecticut General Statutes Section 22-357.
PRIVATE PROPERTY
All property within the Town of Old Saybrook boundaries which is
not owned by the Town of Old Saybrook, State of Connecticut, the federal government,
or any agency thereof.
PUBLIC PROPERTY
Any property owned, occupied or controlled by the Town of Old Saybrook,
State of Connecticut, the federal government, or any agency thereof, but not
limited to parks, streets, sidewalks, and grass areas adjacent to streets
and sidewalks.
Any person who violates this article shall be subject to a fine not
to exceed $100.
