A. Effective as of January 1, 1984, the compensation to
be paid to the Councilmen of the Borough of Sayre shall be $75 per month.
B. The salaries paid to the President of the Borough Council
and to the Mayor of the borough shall be $100 per month, each.
Said compensation shall be paid monthly in the same manner as other
bills of the Borough of Sayre are paid.

The payment of said monthly compensation is to be conditioned upon the
Councilman being present at the meeting, and, in order to qualify for compensation,
he must be present at the meeting. Councilmen will also be considered eligible
for monthly compensation by attending a committee meeting, a special meeting
or a combination thereof or if excused for illness duly verified.

Effective with the beginning of the term of the elected Sayre Borough
Tax Collector in 1970, said Collector to be elected in 1969, the method of
compensating said Tax Collector shall be amended: The payment of commissions
for collections is hereby eliminated, and for the collection of Sayre Borough
taxes, said Borough Tax Collector shall be paid a salary at the rate of $1,800
per annum, said salary to be paid in prorated monthly installments.
