Failure to secure a zoning certificate or a
certificate from the Board of Adjustment, when required, prior to
the erection, construction, extension or addition to a building, or
failure to secure an occupancy certificate, shall be a violation of
this chapter.

A. Any violation of any provision of this chapter is declared to be a civil offense and is subject to the voluntary assessment and other procedures described in Chapter
55 of this Code.
B. Any person,
including but not limited to the owner of a building or premises where
such violations have been committed or shall exist, the lessee or
tenant of an entire building or premises where such violations have
been committed or shall exist, or the agent, architect, contractor
or any other person who commits, takes part in or assists in any such
violation or maintains any building or premises in which such violation
shall exist, shall pay a civil assessment of $200. Each day any violation
of any provision of this chapter occurs or continues to exist shall
constitute a separate violation.
