As used in this chapter, the following terms shall have the meanings
indicated:
ALARM SYSTEM
The combination of sensory apparatus and other equipment which, when
activated by the appropriate stimulus, signals the Police or Fire Department
that immediate response and investigation is required.
CALENDAR YEAR
That year which begins on January 1 at 12:00 midnight and ends on
December 31 at 11:59 p.m.
FALSE ALARM
The activation of an alarm device not justified by a real emergency.
Such terminology does not include alarms caused by hurricanes, tornadoes,
earthquakes or other such conditions.
FIRE CHIEF
The Chief of the Volunteer Fire Department of the Borough of Bay
Head or a designated representative or, in the absence of a Chief of the Fire
Department, the senior ranking member of the Fire Department.
PERSON
Any person, firm, partnership, association, corporation, company
or organization of any kind.
POLICE CHIEF
The Chief of Police of the Borough of Bay Head or a designated representative
or, in the absence of a Chief of Police, the senior ranking member of the
Police Department.
POSSESSOR
The owner or lessor of any premises which contain an alarm system.
