The position of Zoning and Construction Code Coordinator is hereby established
to act as liaison between the New Jersey Bureau of Construction Code Enforcement
and the Township of Bethlehem.
A. Short title. The position of Zoning and Construction Code Coordinator
shall be known and may be cited as the "Zoning Officer" or "Zoning Official.”

The Zoning and Construction Code Coordinator is authorized as the responsible
municipal official to certify to the New Jersey Bureau of Construction Code
Enforcement the presence or absence of any zoning restriction, lot subdivision
condition, deed restriction or any other restriction pertinent to a specific
lot; certification shall be required on all applications for construction
permits on any lot and will be required when construction is to include new
buildings or additions to existing buildings but not when only interior alterations
of existing buildings are to be made.
A flat fee of $20 is established for the zoning search and certification of each lot for which construction permits are sought in accordance with §
32-6. Such fee is payable to the Township of Bethlehem upon application for said construction permits.
