A. No person shall operate or cause to be operated any human-powered
locomotion device on the streets, highways or other public areas designated
for motor vehicle use within the Borough of Branchville or on the Borough
tennis courts. Such human-powered devices for locomotion shall
include but not be limited to skates, roller blades, skateboards, sleds or
scooters, etc., but shall not include bicycles or other properly equipped
pedicycles.
B. No person shall operate or cause to be operated any human-powered
locomotion device or bicycle upon the sidewalks of the Borough of Branchville
in a reckless or hazardous fashion or in the manner creating interference
with pedestrian traffic.
Every person convicted of violation of a provision of this chapter or
any supplement thereto shall be liable as follows:
A. First offense: a fine of $25 or five hours' community
service, or both.
B. Second offense: a fine of $50 or 10 hours' community
service, or both.
C. Third, or more, offense: a fine of $100, 20 hours'
community service or imprisonment for a term not exceeding 10 days, or any
combination of these sanctions.
