It shall be unlawful for any person to willfully
interfere with the performance of a duty by an official of the Town
or duly appointed representative of the Town Board.
Any person who shall violate any chapter or
article of the Code of the Town of Harrison for which another penalty
is not specifically provided shall, upon conviction thereof, be guilty
of a violation under the Penal Law and shall be punishable, for each
offense, by a fine of not less than $250 nor more than $1,000 or by
imprisonment for not more than 15 days, or both.
Any public servant authorized to issue and serve
an appearance ticket with respect to any violation of local law, ordinance
or statute or any state law, shall be authorized to issue an appearance
ticket for any violation of this chapter.
The provisions of this local law are hereby made Chapter
45 of the Code of the Town of Harrison to be entitled "Interference with Public Officials" and the sections of this local law shall be numbered inclusive.
This local law shall take effect immediately
upon filing with the Secretary of the State of New York.
