The employment of all regular and/or full-time employees, other than police officers and firefighters, of the Township of Shaler, whether receiving a salary or being paid at an hourly rate, shall not, solely by reason of their age, cease and terminate as they reach the calendar age of 70 years so long as no bona fide occupational qualification exists which would otherwise mandate such termination.

The employment of each regular and/or full-time employee, other than police officers and firefighters, shall not, solely by reason of their age, automatically cease and terminate on the last working day of the month in which the 70th anniversary of his or her birth shall fall.
At the request of the Secretary of the Township or at the request of any Commissioner of the Township, each and every regular and/or full-time employee shall be required to produce a birth certificate or other legally acceptable document certifying as to his age.

The neglect or refusal to produce the evidence outlined in § 47-3 by any regular and/or full-time employee shall constitute a cause for their dismissal as an employee of the Township of Shaler.
