The "Town of Oakland Road Name Index" adopted
by resolution of the Mayor and Town Council of Oakland and on file
at City Hall and also in the Garrett County Planning and Land Development
Office shall be the official listing for streets and roads in the
Town of Oakland, and said streets and roads are hereby assigned the
names listed therein. As used in this chapter, the terms "street"
and "road" shall have the same meaning and shall also include avenues,
boulevards, highways, lanes, ways and similar street types.
All developed properties or parcels of land
within the Town of Oakland shall be addressed pursuant to a uniform
numbering system as shown on maps on file at City Hall and in the
Garrett County Planning and Land Development Office. Said maps and
the explanatory matter thereon will be adopted by resolution and made
a part of this chapter.
