A. No person shall conduct or maintain a boardinghouse,
lodging house or hotel without first having obtained from the state
a license therefore.
B. Any violation of Subsection
A of this section shall be liable to a penalty of not more than $5,000 per day that said violation continues.
C. The violation of any section or subsection of this
code shall constitute a separate and distinct offense independent
of the violation of any other section or subsection or of any order
issued pursuant to the code.
D. Each day a particular violation continues shall constitute
a separate offense.
The provisions of the New Jersey State Housing
Code, the Hotel and Multiple Dwelling Law and the BOCA Code of the Borough shall be enforced.
All heating shall be furnished by a central
heating system. The use of any portable gas, electric or other small
heater is hereby prohibited, as is the use of any light other than
electrical.
The registers of every boardinghouse, lodging
house and hotel shall be made available to the enforcing agent upon
request and shall contain such information as may be requested by
the Board.
