Whenever a space is marked off on any street for the parking of an individual vehicle, every vehicle parked there shall be parked wholly within the lines bounding that space, and it shall be a violation of this article for any person to park a vehicle or allow it to remain parked otherwise.

A. 
No person shall park or leave unattended any motor vehicle at any place designated as a “No Parking” area, which place is designated by the erection of appropriate “No Parking” signs.
B. 
No person shall park or leave unattended any motor vehicle within 15 feet of any fire hydrant.
C. 
No person shall park or leave unattended any motor vehicle within 30 feet of any stop sign or yield sign.
D. 
No person shall park or leave unattended any motor vehicle upon the public highways of the Township road system unless it shall be positioned parallel to and with the right-hand wheels within 12 inches of the right-hand curb, or in the absence of a curb, as close as practicable to the right edge of the right-hand shoulder.
E. 
No person shall park or leave unattended any motor vehicle at any time upon any of the streets or parts thereof described in Schedule X (§ 189-44 of the Brighton Township Code)
F. 
No person shall park or leave unattended any motor vehicle on any public street within the Township following the deposit or accumulation of ice and/or snow of three inches or greater in depth until the snow has been completely plowed for the full width of the cartway.
G. 
No person shall park on any street within this Township any trailer, combination of truck or truck-trailer and trailer or semitrailer, or truck having a load capacity greater than 15,000 pounds, except for local deliveries.
H. 
Unregistered, uninspected or inoperable vehicles. No person shall park or leave on the streets of this Township any vehicle without current registration plates or current inspection stickers issued by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation. Further, no person shall park or leave on any street in this Township any mechanically inoperable or unsafe vehicles.
I. 
Greasing and repairing. No person shall park any vehicle upon any street in this Township for the principal purpose of greasing, oiling or repairing such vehicle, except such repairs necessitated due to an emergency.

A. 
Any person who violates § 189-17F or § 189-17H shall, upon conviction, be sentenced to pay a fine of $50 and costs.
B. 
Any person who violates any other provision of this article shall, upon conviction, be sentenced to pay a fine of $15 and costs
C. 
The police officer issuing the notice of violation shall place upon the motor vehicle in violation a copy of the notice, advising the owner of the section of this article which has been violated, that the fine is payable at the Brighton Township Police Office within five days during normal business hours, and that failure to pay within the time prescribed will result in charges being filed before the District Magistrate.
D. 
In addition to the penalties set forth in § 189-18A and B, the Township is authorized to remove, or cause the removal of, any vehicle parked in violation of § 189-17, and to store said vehicle in a public garage or other place of safety selected by the Township. The registered owner of said vehicle, if known, shall be notified in writing of the fact of said removal and the place of storage of said vehicle, and that said vehicle may be reclaimed upon payment of the towing and storage charges.
