The Butler Township Manager shall be the sole
designated official to review requests concerning the release of employment
and personnel information.
Any Township employee, elected or appointed
official who receives any request for employee information shall forward
the request to the Township Manager.
The Butler Township Manager shall, in his/her
sole discretion, make decisions concerning the release of any employment
records, information and/or personnel files.
The Butler Township Manager shall, without a
written authorization to release information executed and notarized
by the employee, release only the dates of employment and wages earned
by the employee.
The Butler Township Manager shall, upon receipt
of a written request, including a written authorization, signed by
the applicant and notarized, release such information as the Manager,
in his sole discretion, deems advisable.
No Township employee, elected or appointed official
shall disclose any employee information or discuss employee-related
issues with any person, firm or agency.
Any violation by any employee, elected or appointed
official of the terms of this article may result in disciplinary action,
including discharge from employment.
