For purposes of this chapter, all sides of a
property that abut a public right-of-way constitutes a front yard.
Parking or storage of recreational vehicles
and/or equipment for compensation is not permitted in residentially
zoned districts. Parking or storage of recreational vehicles and/or
equipment on property where there is no unity of ownership interests
in the recreational vehicle and/or equipment with a leasehold or fee
interest in the subject property is absolutely prohibited. This subsection
does not apply to storage facilities provided exclusively for tenants
of multifamily dwelling complexes.
Commercial vehicles that exceed 19 feet in length
are not permitted to be parked overnight on residential properties.
For purposes of this chapter, any new fencing
or new sight-obscuring landscaping required must be installed in accordance
with the City of Fairfax Ordinances.
Vehicles or equipment as herein defined parked
on a driveway for the purpose of loading and unloading may remain
parked or stored in the front yard for a period not to exceed 48 hours.
Violation of this chapter is a misdemeanor.
