As used in this chapter, the following terms shall have the meanings
set forth below:
MOTORIZED SCOOTER
A scooter that is propelled by a small motor located on the vehicle.
This definition shall expressly exclude any personal transportation devices
designed specifically for and actually used by disabled persons.
SCOOTER
A vehicle that typically has two wheels with a low footboard between
the wheels, is controlled by a handle or handle bar and is propelled by pushing
one foot against the ground while resting the other on the footboard.
Any person who violates any provision of this chapter shall be fined
$25 for the first offense and not less than $50 nor more than $100 for each
subsequent offense.
