The Township Committee of the Township of Wyckoff,
deeming it necessary for the proper and efficient conduct of the affairs
of the municipality, and particularly to create a system of recreation
programs designed to amuse, entertain and improve the physical fitness
and to bring into closer harmony and relationship the Township of
Wyckoff as a whole, the neighborhoods making up that community and
the families abiding therein, does hereby establish and create a Recreation
and Parks Department.
[Amended 4-5-1993 by Ord. No. 1164; 4-6-1999 by Ord. No.
1314]
Said Department shall be composed of nine members
and two alternate members, who are citizens and residents of the Township
of Wyckoff, and other employees and assistants of the Township of
Wyckoff as may be determined by the Township Committee and the Township
Administrator, including the Director of Recreation and Parks Department,
who shall be appointed annually.
[Amended 4-5-1993 by Ord. No. 1164; 4-6-1999 by Ord. No.
1314]
Said nine members, who shall be known as "Department
members", and two alternate members shall be appointed by the Township
Committee. Alternate members shall be designated at the time of appointment
as "Alternate No. 1" and "Alternate No. 2." Alternate members may
participate in discussions of the proceedings, but may not vote except
in the absence or disqualification of a Department member. A vote
shall not be delayed in order that a Department member may vote instead
of an alternate member. In the event that a choice must be made as
to which alternate member is to vote, Alternate No. 1 shall vote.
[Amended 4-5-1993 by Ord. No. 1164; 4-6-1999 by Ord. No.
