No person shall detain or fail to return any book, periodical, pamphlet,
artistic reproduction, audio recording, audiovisual material or any other
article borrowed, either from the Free Public Library of the Township of Wyckoff
or from any other library with which the Free Public Library has a reciprocal
lending agreement, using a library card issued by the Free Public Library
of the Township, contrary to the rules and regulations of said Free Public
Library, after 30 days have elapsed from the date of posting by certified
mail, return receipt requested, of a notice demanding return thereof, addressed
to said person at the last address furnished to the library.

No person shall willfully or maliciously cut, tear, deface, disfigure,
damage or destroy any book, periodical, pamphlet, artistic reproduction, audio
recording, audiovisual material or other article, or any part thereof, which
is borrowed from, owned by or is in the custody of said library, or such other
library through a reciprocal lending agreement.
No person with intent to defraud shall register or furnish a false name
or address or use any card other than the one issued to said person for the
purpose of borrowing any book, periodical, pamphlet, artistic, reproduction,
phonograph recording, audiovisual material or other article from said library.
This chapter shall be enforced by the Library Director or his or her
authorized representatives.

Any person who shall violate the provisions of this chapter shall, upon
conviction thereof, be liable to a fine of not more than $1,000, in the discretion
of the Judge.
