A. 
Any owner or agent and any person or corporation who shall violate any of the provisions of this article or fail to comply therewith or with any of the requirements thereof or who shall erect, structurally alter, enlarge, rebuild or move any building or buildings or any structure or who shall put into use any lot or land in violation of any detailed statement or plan submitted hereunder or who shall refuse reasonable opportunity to inspect any premises shall be liable to a fine of not more than $500 or to imprisonment for not more than 90 days, or both such fine and imprisonment. Each and every day such violation continues shall be deemed a separate and distinct violation.
B. 
The owner of any building or structure, lot or land, or part thereof, where anything in violation of this article shall be placed or shall exist, and any architect, builder, contractor, agent, person or corporation employed in connection therewith and who assists in the commission of such violation shall each be guilty of a separate misdemeanor and, upon conviction thereof, shall each be liable to the fine or imprisonment, or both, specified in Subsection A.
In case any section or provisions of this article shall be held invalid in any court, the same shall not affect any other section or provision of this article except so far as the section or portion so declared invalid shall be inseparable from the remainder or any portion thereof.

Any and all other ordinances or parts thereof in conflict or inconsistent with any of the terms of this article are hereby repealed to such extent as they are so in conflict or inconsistent; provided, however, that the adoption of this article shall not prevent or bar the continuance or institution of any proceedings for offenses heretofore committed in violation of any existing ordinances of the Town of Clinton.
B. 
More particularly, Chapters XV, Land Subdivision, and XVI, Zoning, of the Revised General Ordinances of the Town of Clinton and Ordinance No. 77-4 of the Town of Clinton, and any amendments thereto, are hereby specifically repealed.
This article shall take effect immediately after passage and publication in the manner provided by law.
